Elevated Water Tower Painting - G.O. Bond WC-2102
The City of Nichols Hills will begin painting both water towers starting the week of July 26th, 2021. This will take approximately 8 weeks to complete.
The water towers will be painted one at a time, starting with the main tower located at 1009 NW 75th Street. Once the main tower is completed, the water tower located at Westminster Place and Greystone Avenue will be next.
Before the painting takes place, the water towers will need to be drained one at a time. We will start draining the first water tower the week of July 19th, 2021, and the Westminster water tower the week of August 15th, 2021. There should be minimal to no pressure change during this process.
There is cellular equipment on both water towers. Cellular companies will be placing their equipment on temporary towers near the water towers during the painting project. These are only temporary, and the cellular equipment will be relocated back on the water towers at the end of the painting projects.
