AGENCY OVERVIEW

The Nichols Hills Police Department currently employs five full time civilians, Fourteen sworn officers, and two or more part time communications personnel. These individuals are assigned specific positions within the department, which constitute a variety of duties. A number of these positions are dual or multi- role positions in that the individuals within the positions actually perform more than one function.

ONGOING PROGRAMS AND PROJECTS

In the Police Department’s continuing effort to provide better levels of service to the community, several programs have been developed. These programs cover a broad spectrum, but all are designed to enhance police services and make the prevention of criminal activity more effective. A brief review of these programs is set forth below:

• Nichols Hills Police Crime Alerts - are sent out by email to those who have subscribed to our email list. • Nichols Hills Crime Prevention Program Inc. - Formed and supported by Nichols Hills residents since 1984, this program serves as the foundation for many community services dealing with safety and security.
