OG&E Utility Billing Message Following February Extreme Cold

You may be wondering how the recent extreme winter weather may affect your electric bill. To support customer demand during record low temperatures, we spent about $1 billion in fuel costs. To minimize the impact to you, we’re working with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission on a 2-step approach to spread recovery of these fuel costs over 10 years:

• Recover a portion of the fuel costs beginning in April
• Spread the remainder of the fuel costs over 10 years, beginning in 2022

If approved, the average residential customer should expect an increase on their monthly bill of less than 10%. For more information, visit  oge.com/events.
