Kite Park Closing During Construction - March 2008Kite Park, at Huntington Avenue and Bedford Drive, will close to the Public from March 17, 2008 to April 30, 2008 during makeover contruction. The park is geting a custom makeover with private donations at a cost of almost $400,000. The original estimate was $300,000, but additional work was added.
Over 85 new trees will be added to the park, along with another 70 shrubs and lots of green groundcover. The two-acre park will also be resodded.
The City apologize for any inconvenience this may cause, but for the safety of those that use the park. it must be closed while the construction work is being completed. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
