March was fairly quiet month from the police department’s perspective. There was a residential burglary reported on March 23rd at 1717 N.W. 63rd. In addition there was an arrest for public intoxication and possession of narcotics and there was a shoplifting at BeBe’s 6480 Avondale.
Communications Officer Kimberly Hill-Shaw was called upon by ACOG to teach an emergency tele-communicator’s course. Our retired police officer, now communications officer, Vicki Odom attended the seminar.
The police department has prepared for the 24th Annual Redbud Classic and has been working closely with the Redbud staff. Thanks to all city departments who are assisting in making the race a safe and enjoyable event.
