Paving Improvements to 1600-1700 Blocks of Randel Rd.

Rudy Construction will begin pavement improvements to the southbound lane of Randel Rd on February 12, 2024. They will start at Huntington Ave. and work their way toward 63rd Street.

Q: What do I need a permit for?

A: You need a permit for additions, fences, new construction, remodels that involve plumbing, electric, heating and air, roofs, or sheetrock removal, swimming pools, sprinklers, storage buildings, and storm shelters.

Q: Who is responsible for purchasing the permit?

A: Normally the contractor doing the work.  Most permits require a license or some type of stamped documents that the contractor has to provide.

Q: Do I need a permit to paint my home, replace siding or windows?

A: No.  Paint, windows, siding and brick work do not require a permit.

Q: Do I need a permit for landscaping projects?

A: Landscaping projects of more than 300 square feet do require a permit.  A site and drainage plan will be required.
