Grand Boulevard Redevelopment Committee

In August of 2013 the Nichols Hills City Council voted to create the Grand Boulevard Park Redevelopment Committee. The committee meets as needed at City Hall and is charged with developing plans for the improvement of Grand Boulevard Park. The co-chairpersons Peter Hoffman and Pete Everest are working with architect Scott Howard, engineer Karl Baldischwiler, the members of the Board of Park Commissioners, the Parks Inc. chairperson and the chairperson of the EHSC to develop these exciting new plans.

Ideas that are currently being discussed include the construction of water features, the boxing in of the channel and removal of the guardrail along Grand Boulevard. The committee is also considering new sprinkler systems for the parks and grading the park to eliminate standing water in the low lying areas.
