Mayor Clements called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.; then led the flag salute.

7.      PUBLIC HEARING: Discussion, Consideration and Possible approval of a demolition permit application submitted by Chesapeake Land Company for the demolition of the structure located at 6429 Avondale Drive, within the Town Center Overlay District.

 

APPROVED:  The MOTION to Approve demolition application with a determination that proposed demolition will have a minor impact on the town center overlay district was moved by Goetzinger, seconded by Hoffman.    AYES: Clements, Hoffman, Goetzinger.

 

 

8.      PUBLIC HEARING: Discussion, Consideration and Possible action regarding proposed ordinance amending the Nichols Hills City Code concerning side yard building setbacks

9.      Discussion, Consideration and Possible Approval of Pay Estimate No. 2 for Project No. FC-1101 Ground Storage Tank Painting project in the amount of $128,950 to Blastco Texas, Inc.  To be paid out of the 2011-2012 Nichols Hills Municipal Authority CIP Fund, as approved in the 2011-2012 Budget.

10.  Discussion, Consideration and Possible Approval of tower lease renewal (1009 NW 75th) between Sprint and the City of Nichols Hills.

11.  Discussion, Discussion, Consideration and Possible Approval to hold the annual Memorial Marathon Event on Sunday, April 29, 2012.

 

Mayor Clements advised council will consider and take action on Agenda Item 11 and 12 concurrently.

 

 

12.  Discussion, Consideration and possible Approval to install Memorial Marathon banners within the Nichols Hills City Limits between April 17, 2012 and May 4, 2012.

13.  Discussion, Consideration and possible Approval of request to surplus a 2009 Ford Crown Victoria (VIN# 2FAHP71V29X103202) and a 2008 Crown Victoria (VIN# 2FAFP71V48X124591).

14.  Discussion, Consideration and possible Approval to purchase one new 2012 Chevrolet Caprice PPV not to exceed $25,000, second and final police patrol vehicle approved in FY 2011-2012 CIP budget.

15.  Discussion, Consideration and possible Approval for Fire Department purchase an Exhaust Gas Removal System upgrade, as well as office furniture and minor remodeling in the Fire Captain’s office.  Both approved in the FY 2011-2012 CIP budget for $2,100 and $3,500 respectively.

  1. Discussion, Consideration and Possible Action to approve a household hazardous waste collection program, to approve a program budget of $15,000 and to authorize the City Manager to implement such program, to enter into necessary agreements in furtherance of such program and to expend not to exceed the $15,000 budgeted amount for such program.
