Chairman Herzel called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m.

Acknowledgement was made by Chairman Herzel that she along with Members, Lucy Covington, Mary Ellen Ternes, Peg Malloy and Marty Smith were present. The following members were absent: Pat Schonwald and Mary Frates. Carlene Burger arrived following agenda item 4.
3. Approval of Minutes: a. Meeting – September 28, 2011 APPROVED: MOTION to approve the minutes was moved by Malloy, seconded by Covington. AYES: Herzel, Malloy, Covington, Smith and Ternes NAYES: none 4. Discussion, Consideration and Possible Action regarding recycling. APPROVED: MOTION to consider removing glass from recycling in Nichols Hills moved by Malloy, seconded by Ternes. AYES: Herzel, Malloy, Covington, Smith and Ternes. NAYES: none. 5. Discussion, Consideration and Possible action regarding paperless utility billing. Members consider removing glass from recycling in Nichols Hills moved by Malloy, seconded by Ternes. AYES: Herzel, Malloy, Covington, Smith and Ternes. NAYES: none. 6. Discussion, Consideration and Possible action regarding 2012 meeting dates.
APPROVED: MOTION to approve calendar of meeting dates with the correction the November 28, 2012 meeting will be a regular meeting rather than a special meeting moved by Burger, seconded by Ternes. AYES: Herzel, Malloy, Covington, Burger, Smith and Ternes. NAYES: none. 7. Announcements.
On November 9, 2011 is the Governors energy conference. Earth Day participation is encouraged to all.
