1. Call to Order

Chairman Clements called the meeting to order. 


2. Roll Call

Acknowledgement was by Chairman Clements that he along with members Covington, Flesher, Mahaffey and Slater were all present.


3. Minutes:  Meeting – October 21, 2009

APRROVED:   Moved by Mahaffey, seconded by Covington. AYES: Clements, Covington, Flesher, Mahaffey and Slater. 


4. Public Hearing – Case No. 2010-01

Lot 33 Blk 102 City of Nichols Hills, Oklahoma County, Oklahoma also known as 1832 Dorchester Pl. Current Zoning is R-1-75. The applicants are requesting a variance to build a carport that will extend 6(six) feet past the front building setback. A two foot overhang is the amount allowed by code in this zoning district making this request 4 (four) feet past the maximum amount allowed.

PUBLIC HEARING was opened.  Citizens which spoke included Mr. John Garvey voicing his opposition to this variance request.  


APPROVED :  Moved that application number 2010-01 be approved in accordance with submitted application as presented at this meeting because:
I. The application of the ordinance to this particular piece of property would create an unnecessary hardship:
II. Such conditions are peculiar to this particular piece of property;
III. The granting of this variance will not cause substantial detriment to the public good, or impair the purposes and intent of the ordinance or the comprehensive plan; and
IV. The variance is the minimum necessary to alleviate the unnecessary hardship.
by Mahaffey, seconded by Covington.  AYES: Covington, Flesher and Mahaffey  NAYS: Clements and Slater.
