Fire Department EmploymentThe Nichols Hills Fire Department does not have an open application process. When we have an open position we choose candidates from a list provided by Eastern Oklahoma County Technology Center (EOC) and contact those candidates and invite them to fill out an application.
EOC establishes the list by giving a written and physical test twice a year. Both tests are nationally recognized as meeting all the legal requirements for employment tests. The written test is given first and all candidates who pass the written can then take the physical test. If they pass both tests they are put on the list for one year. Approximately 20 area fire departments hire candidates from EOC's list.
For information on testing contact EOC at 405-390-5315.
