Police Chief's Monthy Comments November 2005

Chief Richard Mask
Chief Richard Mask

There was one burglary reported for the month of November. There were three auto thefts reported for the month and in each case, the vehicles were left unlocked with the keys either in the ignition or somewhere inside the vehicle. There have been five vehicles stolen so far this year and in each case, the doors were unlocked and the keys left inside. All of the vehicles were eventually recovered however, some had been stripped and others had valuable merchandise taken from the interior.

Communications Officer Kimberly Hillshaw was recruited to teach a Call Takers dispatch seminar for ACOG during the first week of November. Kimberly has been asked to conduct similar training for ACOG in the past. She has developed an excellent reputation for teaching in the field of emergency dispatch.

Officer Tyrell Stroh completed the ten-week Field Training Program and has been assigned to the first shift.

Traffic enforcement is normal for November with a slight increase in non-injury traffic accidents.

Respectfully,

Chief Richard Mask
