There were no burglaries reported for the month of October, however there was a reported auto theft from the 6900 Avondale Dr. on the 27th. The vehicle had been left unlocked with the keys in the ignition. The owners wallet, camera and laptop computer were also left inside. An arrest has been made in the case and several of the stolen items recovered. There were a total of four felony arrests made in October excluding the arrest for the auto theft. The four arrests included two for domestic violence.

The police department participated in several charitable events during the month that include, The Annual Pooch Parade, The Donya Dunn Annual Spooky Sprint and the Celebrity Waiter Gala at the Oklahoma City Golf and Country Club with the proceeds going to The Oklahoma City Care Center.

Halloween night produced a larger than average crowd and the usual parking problems caused by the narrow residential streets and people unfamiliar with the trick or treat hours. Some residents reported people who were still going door to door as late as 10:00 p.m.

Our newest employee, Stephen West, is in the seventh week of his police academy training and is doing an excellent job. His graduation date will be early December.

Major Arnold and Officer Tyrell Stroh attended an eight hour Steven Covey seminar early in the month. It was an introduction for Officer Stroh and a refresher for Major Arnold.

Respectfully,

Chief Richard Mask.
