The City of Nichols Hills Finance Department has installed all new accounting software during this past fiscal year. This USTI licensed software replaces an old DOS based product that was very outdated and hard to support. After undergoing the necessary training, the new windows based software was phased in this past year by the hard-working finance department staffed by Sarah Grissam, Utility Billing Clerk; Margaret Peterson, Accounting Clerk; and Finance Director Cathy Keller. The City’s Information Systems Manager Neil Gray assisted with all the computer conversions.
The new software modules include utility billing, accounts payable, general ledger accounting, and payroll. The Finance Department is still involved in the new software conversion with cash receipts, purchase order and fixed asset modules left to complete. The financial reports available with this new software offer the city’s management much more flexibility in financial reporting.
