            The City Council of the City of Nichols Hills has selected S. Shane Pate II as its next City Manager. He will succeed long-time City Manager David Poole, who has announced his retirement. Pate will serve as Assistant City Manager until Poole’s retirement in early 2017.
 
            Pate holds a Master’s degree in Public Administration from the University of Central Oklahoma, a Juris Doctorate from the Oklahoma City University School of Law and a Bachelor’s degree for Oklahoma State University. Since 2010, Pate has been associated with the law firm of Williams, Box, Forshee & Bullard, during which he served as an attorney for the City of Nichols Hills. Previously, he was a District Executive for the Boy Scouts of America.
 
            Current City Manager Poole said, “Shane is well prepared by both education and experience to serve as the next City Manager and I am very pleased that he will be my successor.” Mayor Steve Goetzinger said, “We are impressed with Shane’s dedication to quality work and his ability to work with employees and our residents.” Pate said, “The City of Nichols Hills is a very special community; it will be an honor to serve as its City Manager. I will do everything I can to make Mayor Goetzinger, Councilman Hoffman, Councilwoman Clements and the Citizens of Nichols Hills proud.”
