AMENDED NOTICE OF REDISTRICTING

Request for Rezoning by the City of Nichols Hills

 

Notice is hereby given that a request by the City of Nichols Hills to rezone Lots 1 through 13 of Block Five and Lots 25 through 28 of Block 6 of Nichols Hills Addition (parts of the 1100 block of Fenwick including 6516 Avondale) from Two Family Residential (R-2) zoning to Single Family Residential (R-1-60) zoning will be considered at public hearings to be held by both the Nichols Hills Planning Commission and the Nichols Hills City Council.  Public hearings will be held by the Nichols Hills Planning Commission on Tuesday, March 6, 2007 at 5:30 p.m., and by the Nichols Hills City Council on Tuesday, March 13, 2007 at 5:30 p.m., both of such public hearings to be held at the Council Chambers, Town Hall, 6407 Avondale Drive, Nichols Hills, Oklahoma, 73116.

 

Brief Description of Proposed Zoning District (Single Family Residential (R-1-60):  This district is intended to preserve the character and integrity of established single family residential areas with moderate residential densities.  The principal permitted uses are one and two story single family homes.

The above map shows the area affected by the proposed rezoning.

 

Any person objecting to or in support of the proposed rezoning application may appear before the Planning Commission and the City Council on the above set dates for the public hearings and show cause why the proposed rezoning should not be approved.  Written protest against the proposed amendments may be filed with the office of the City Clerk, 6407 Avondale Drive, Nichols Hills, Oklahoma, 73116 not less than three (3) days before the public hearing.
