Grand Blvd Paving will continue Tuesday morning May 22, 2018. Grand Blvd will be closed from Nichols Road to Sherwood Lane. Sherwood Lane to NW 63rd will be closed on June 5th for concrete paving until project is completed. Projected completion date is September 1, 2018. (Project PC-1702)

1. Call to Order.
Chairman Slater called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
2. Roll Call.
Acknowledgment was made that Chairman Slater, members Clements and Flesher were present. Members Covington and Hall were absent. See Item 4 below regarding subsequent arrival of Member Hall.

Motion to APPROVE the minutes was moved by Clements, seconded by Flesher.

4. PUBLIC HEARING – Case No. BOA 2013-07: Discussion, consideration and possible action on Case BOA 2013-07, for which the owners of 1209 Glenwood have requested a variance to add onto their current home. This will be in violation of the encroachment on the rear setback of 3’ 6”.
Architect Sam Gresham spoke on behalf of the property owners. He explained in detail the reasons for this variance application.
During the discussion portion of the public hearing, Member Hall arrived.
Hearing no citizens requesting to speak during the public hearing, Chairman Slater closed the public hearing.
APPROVED: Flesher Moved that application number 2013-07 be approved in accordance with submitted application as presented at this meeting because:
I. The application of the ordinance to this particular piece of property would create an unnecessary hardship:
II. Such conditions are peculiar to this particular piece of property;
III. The granting of this variance will not cause substantial detriment to the public good, or impair the purposes and intent of the ordinance or the comprehensive plan; and
The variance is the minimum necessary to alleviate the unnecessary hardship. Seconded by Hall.

5. Adjournment. There being no further business, Chairman Slater adjourned the meeting
