Grand Blvd Paving will continue Tuesday morning May 22, 2018. Grand Blvd will be closed from Nichols Road to Sherwood Lane. Sherwood Lane to NW 63rd will be closed on June 5th for concrete paving until project is completed. Projected completion date is September 1, 2018. (Project PC-1702)

1. Call to Order.
Chairman Slater called the meeting to order at 5:30 p.m.
2. Roll Call.
Acknowledgment was made by Chairman Slater that he along with members Flesher, Covington and Hall were all present. Member Clements was absent.

4. PUBLIC HEARING – Case No. 2012-07: Discussion, consideration and possible action on Case 2012-07, for which the owners of 1709 Drakestone have requested a variance to add onto the back of their home. This property is currently zoned R-1-75.
Mr. Edward Lee spoke to commission members regarding this variance request. Kelly Hurley provided a staff report, followed by Chairman Slater opening the public hearing.
Having no one present desiring to be heard, Chairman Slater closed the public hearing.
Following commission members discussion of this request, the following motion was made.
APPROVED: Flesher Moved that application number 2012-07 be approved in accordance with submitted application as presented at this meeting because:
I. The application of the ordinance to this particular piece of property would create an unnecessary hardship:
II. Such conditions are peculiar to this particular piece of property;
III. The granting of this variance will not cause substantial detriment to the public good, or impair the purposes and intent of the ordinance or the comprehensive plan; and
IV. The variance is the minimum necessary to alleviate the unnecessary hardship. Seconded by Hall. AYES: Flesher, Slater, Hall and Covington. NAYS: None ABSTAIN: None
5. Adjournment. There being no further business, Chairman Slater adjourned the meeting.
