Road Construction Alert
Grand Blvd Paving will continue Tuesday morning May 22, 2018. Grand Blvd will be closed from Nichols Road to Sherwood Lane. Sherwood Lane to NW 63rd will be closed on June 5th for concrete paving until project is completed. Projected completion date is September 1, 2018. (Project PC-1702)

1. Call to Order

Chairman Herzel called the meeting to order at 8:30 a.m. 


2. Roll Call

Acknowledgement was made by Chairman Herzel that she along with Members Pat Schonwald, Peg Malloy, Mary Ellen Ternes, Mary Frates, Marty Smith and Carlene Burger were present. The following members were absent: Rance Shields and Kathy Brewer.


3. Approval of Minutes:

Chairman Herzel pulled the minutes from the November 17, 2010 from the agenda.  She stated these minutes have a few corrections to be completed.

4. Discussion of storm water by Randy Smith.


Mr. Smith provided the commission with a summary of how Storm Water run-off affects the Nichols Hills community, and extends beyond our city limits.


5. Discussion regarding OK Smoking Laws.

TABLED.


6. Discussion, Consideration and Possible action regarding February speakers.

MOTION to direct Chairman Herzel to contact Pete Dulaney to discuss forming a panel for the spring. Moved by Ternes, seconded by Schonwald. AYES: Smith, Herzel, Schonwald, Malloy, Burger, Ternes, Frates and Shields


7. Discussion, Consideration and Possible action regarding Environmental Guidelines.

MOTION to future development the Environmental Guidelines to add appropriate links and bring these guidelines back to the commission in January 2011 Moved by Burger, seconded by Schonwald. AYES: Smith, Herzel, Schonwald, Malloy, Burger, Ternes, Frates and Shields.

8. Discussion regarding recycling center.


The commission discussed the recycling center, no action taken.


9. Discussion, Consideration and Possible action regarding informational video.

MOTION to direct Mary Ellen Ternes, Fenton Rood and other interested parties to contact Frank Finley regarding an informational video to be placed on the city cable channel Moved by Smith, seconded by Malloy. AYES: Smith, Herzel, Schonwald, Malloy, Burger, Ternes, Frates and Shields.
