MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE NICHOLS HILLS PLANNING COMMISSION HELD TUESDAY, MARCH 2ND, 2010 AT 5:30 P.M., TOWN HALL,

The meeting was posted in accordance with the Open Meeting laws of the State of
Chairman Bickford called the meeting to order and called the roll.
Motion was made by Larry Savage, seconded by John McCaleb to approve the minutes of the regular meeting held February 2, 2010.

Members discussed the financial impact to the City of Nichols Hills in the event the application is approved. Loss of property tax revenues of $21,000 would impact the city. Engineer Time Johnson advised the commissioners that the owners deem the apartments at this location inhabitable. Discussion followed regarding the duration of time between the issuing of the requested permit and the completion of demolition as well as the progress of proposed landscaping. Public Works director Charles Hooper advised once demolition begins, Chesapeake Land Company will have 14 days to complete demolition; and sod must be laid within the 7 days following completion of demolition. Chairman Bickford opened the public hearing for which no citizens addressed the committee. Jeff James made a motion to recommend the permit application to be presented to city council. Larry Savage seconded the motion.

Work session concerning the review of height and volume restrictions and other building and zoning restrictions in residential areas was tabled.
